Well, so much for a light day. On Saturday, instead of an active recovery day, the allure of the “sexy WOD” got me. We did a scaled, team version of the Lumberjack 40 and it was awesome. I made certain that I was ready and properly warmed up before I hit it. Katie and I really performed well and finished first at 31:00.

With the CrossFit Open coming quickly, I thought it might be a good time to post this link to tapering. It is very technical, but most should be able to follow. See below.

Personal Stats

WOD – (Sat) Team version of Lumberjack 40 – 31:00

Diet – very good.

Sleep – excellent ~8 hours each weekend night.

CrossFit Rowing WOD

3 x 7min Steady State w/ 2min Rest
Race Focus and Visualization
1st piece – @2k+10
2nd piece – @2k+7
3rd piece – @2k+5

CrossFit Endurance – Tues/Thurs/Sun

Row (TUE): Repeat 1500m, recover 3:00, until form/pace deteriorates

Concept 2 WOD

Row five 4 minute pieces. Row for one minute at light pressure between each piece.
