I am ready to hit it again tonight. I know, from reading about overtraining, that rest days are good for you, but it is difficult to tell my brain that I have to stop. Testosterone, growth hormone, and cortisol. All of these and more are impacted by rest days. But what if you had a job that required a high level of physical activity? I had a job, between high school and college, that was very physically intensive. I don’t remember any overtraining symptoms, but I was way younger. To be fair, the work was heavy, but not as intense as CrossFit can be.

Rest day

CrossFit Endurance – Tues/Thurs/Sun

Row (THU): 3-7 x 4:00, recover 3:00, hold distance steady across all efforts

Concept 2 WOD

Row five 1000 meter pieces. Row for one minute at light pressure between each 1000.
